Water Your Flowers, Not Your Weeds

By “watering” something, you're nourishing it—giving it attention, time, care. This phrase is a reminder that what you nurture will grow. If you spend your energy on the wrong things (your "weeds"), they’ll take over. But if you focus on the right things (your "flowers"), your life becomes more vibrant and fulfilling.

Take Time for Spring Cleaning

Spring is the perfect time for a reset—longer days and fresh energy make it easier to declutter both your space and your mind. A seasonal clean-out helps you refocus on what truly supports your creativity and let go of what drains you.

Celebrate The Moms in Your Life

Mother's day is this month, which is an important time to celebrate the mothers in your life. Mothering can come in all shapes and sizes and this can also be an important time to recognize how Mother's Day can be hard for some people - those with infertility, those who didn't get the chance to be a mom, or those who have lost their moms; there are so many dynamics. It can be a good time to check in and see what parts of yourself need some motherly love and attention.

Stay Hydrated

Staying hydrated is essential because water supports your energy levels, focus, digestion, and overall health. Even mild dehydration can lead to fatigue, headaches, and reduced concentration—especially during busy or creative days. A simple way to drink more water is to keep a bottle at your workspace and set a recurring phone reminder every hour to take a few sips.

Remind Yourself How Far You've Come

As we move further into the year, now is a great time to check in with the goals you set for the year. It's important to be able to readjust as the year goes on and to celebrate the goals and milestones you've hit. Make some time to see how this year is going and give yourself grace with what you're still working on.

Make Time for Mindful Movement

I always have more energy during this time of year, thanks to the longer days and vitamin D. Taking time for mindful movement doesn't have to be an intense workout. It can be as simple as taking a few deep breaths and moving your body slowly, seeing what muscles are tense or which ones need to stretch. Our bodies do so much for us, so it's important that we listen to them!
