Reminders for June

Reminders for June

Happy June to you! June is all about joy, growth, and being yourself. Here are 6 reminders for you as we enter the month of June and get closer to the dog days of Summer.

Be Yourself

June is Pride month, which celebrates all forms of sexuality and gender identity. I love how inclusive Pride is because it also invites cis people to let go of gender norms and the status-quo. Pride is all about celebrating and accepting life in all forms, which is beautiful. Let go and be yourself this month!

Make Time for Joy

You may be hard at work trying to hit your Q2 goals or busy with kids' summer programs, but here is your reminder to make some time for joy this month. If you've been putting some you-time off, here's your excuse to add it to your calendar and stick to it. For me, I've been writing 'get bike fixed' on my calendar for months and this month I am promising myself to actually do it because riding my bike brings me joy and connects me to my inner child. What's something you've been hoping to make time for but haven't yet?

Take Note of What You're Grateful For

Making time to acknowledge all the things that are going right in your world is a proven way to improve self-esteem and reduce negative self-talk. It can shift your mindset to be more positive and mindful, with less focus on comparison. Shop our gratitude notepad to help you keep up with this useful habit.

Tell Your Friends You Love Them

Having well-maintained friendships helps improve your well-being because we are social creatures who need each other. It can be easy to get caught up in the business of life, but sending a text to a friend can go a long way. Better yet, send your friend a greeting card with a special hand-written message! Snail mail is an art of love.

Trust Your Inner Wisdom

It's so easy to get stuck in comparison, especially with social media, but the truth is we all have an inner compass full of wisdom that we can tap into at any time. It takes effort and time to learn to trust yourself and your inner wisdom, but I know from experience that it's the best way to live a truly authentic life. IFS helps me connect to my inner wisdom, also known as Self!

Enjoy The Fruits of Your Labor

If you're a gardener like me, you know how satisfying it is to eat your own vegetables and herbs. It takes work and daily dedication to grow a garden, just like it takes work and daily dedication to grow as a person. Give yourself some credit and make sure you are enjoying the fruits of your labor! Celebrate those wins.
