Writing is a trusted way to connect to our inner world and see what parts of ourselves need attention. It is shown to help us process our emotions, connect with our creativity, and improve our over all wellbeing.
Here are 5 journal prompts for you to explore your inner world and connect to yourself on a deeper level.
1. What stories am I telling myself today?
This prompt can help you recognize the different positive and negative narratives that are happening in your head. It can help you separate from these narratives and get curious about where they come from.

2. What does stillness feel like in my body and mind?
This prompt allows you to take a mindful moment and check in with your body and mind in a gentle way. Whatever emotions or sensations come up, just sit with those and recognize them. Acknowledging them is a powerful way to create space and understanding for your inner world.
3. If I could speak to a younger version of myself, what would I say?
This can awaken deep compassion for the younger versions of yourself that still live within your inner world. It's important to show love and care for the different versions of yourself and this prompt is a great way to connect and get curious about them.

4. What part of me needs the most attention right now?
This is a gentle way to get in touch with the parts of yourself that need some extra love and care; parts that may feel unheard or uninvolved in your outer world. See what reminder they need and what concerns they have.
5. What am I resisting and what might happen if I soften into it?
This prompt is one of my favorites. It can make way for more acceptance, more mindfulness, more compassion. See what happens when you ask your inner world about what it's fighting against and why. See where you feel it in your body. If you too like this prompt, may I suggest reading Radical Acceptance.
